This project involved the full demolition and rebuild of internal spaces, along with significant upgrades to access control and the installation of safety glazing on doors and windows. New facilities included an accessible bathroom, laundry, and cleaners’ cupboard. A second stage saw a major reconfiguration of existing classrooms, including an extension to create a modern, fully functional Food Tech facility. Extensive asbestos removal and removal/replacement of concrete flooring posed challenges, especially within the constraints of an operational school. Despite access and buildability issues, the project was delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard, fully meeting the client’s requirements.
