Egmont Street Seismic Re-Strengthening

This complex seismic re-strengthening project involved major concrete demolition, and the construction of in-situ poured concrete beams and a three-storey structural wall. The work was carried out primarily after hours and on weekends to avoid disrupting tenants in the operational office building. Challenges included managing dust and noise in active workspaces, navigating limited access for concrete pours using pump trucks through existing windows, and working with intricate reinforcing steel detailing. Despite the physically demanding nature of the project, careful planning, safety protocols, and clear communication ensured its successful completion with minimal disruption.
