This project involved significant redevelopment and new construction at Oakura School, beginning with the separation and crane placement of a modular classroom. Works included building two new classrooms and a central learning street, demolishing outdated facilities, and relocating existing classrooms to create a cohesive new block. A new classroom with a Food Tech area was constructed to link the relocated buildings, complemented by a new deck and verandah that unified the space. The project also featured major landscaping, carefully designed around a prominent Nikau tree. Despite challenges from COVID-related delays and unexpected underground soak holes, the team delivered a high-quality classroom refurbishment and new build that transformed the learning environment.
