This major alteration of a three-storey residential property involved a full demolition and rebuild—preserving only the original Matai floor at the client’s request. The project required significant stabilisation works, including the installation of an extensive number of new piles, and expanded the overall floor space, with additional alterations to the existing granny flat. Delivered under an “open book” charge-up contract to ensure transparency and quality, the build faced challenges such as tight site access and weather delays. The high level of craftsmanship and finish achieved led to the project being nominated for the Registered Master Builders House of the Year 2025.
